Manisa Museum, which is also important in the sense that the works of the Sart ruins are exhibited, is in the west of Muradiye Mosque in the madrasah and alms house sections.
In the alms house section where archeological works are exhibited one can view the pieces such as sculptures and sarcophagus from the Bronze Age to the end of Byzantine Era in the main hall whereas clay pots, statuette, gravestones, busts, jewelleries, and other goods made up of glass and ivory can be seen at the side rooms. It is also possible to see the ethnographic goods that reflect the traditions, customs, beliefs and lifestyles of the public such as armors, clothes, home goods and manuscripts in other parts within the madrasah section. |
